would definitely book here again
The views from our double room were absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the serene lake with a perfect sunset. The room had great amenities like air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, free toiletries, and a coffee machine. Loved the kids' pool for my family. Staff was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Loved fishing right from the beachfront. The Wi-Fi was really slow, which made planning tough. Perfect spot for hiking.

Had an awesome time with friends here! We enjoyed fishing right from the beachfront and spent a day exploring the hiking trails in the area. The playground and lobby fireplace were perfect spots for relaxing after our adventures. Overall, it's a great getaway with a lot to offer. Don't miss out on kayaking during your stay!
The only downside was the slow Wi-Fi in our room, which made it tough to plan our next activities.

A solid getaway for families
The lodge had a rustic charm that reminded me of simpler times. The food was made to order and hit the spot after a long day.
Wasn't exactly a bargain but it was worth the stay.

I really enjoyed my stay, especially the cozy, clean room and the delicious food in the restaurant. The outdoor swimming pool and barbeque grills were perfect for unwinding after a long day. Just a heads up, the wifi wasn’t the best, but it didn't ruin my experience at all! 😊

The beautiful location and friendly staff made the trip enjoyable, though there were some downsides like the absence of a refrigerator and the need for room upgrades. The lack of dining options during the stay was a hassle, but the resort's charm still left a good impression.

I had a fantastic experience at Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park. The views from my room were stunning, and the air conditioning kept everything comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable.
Marina was closed during my stay.

The lodge rooms clearly need some TLC, looking like they last had a refresh back in 1964. A persistent odor lingers in the rooms, likely due to the local smoking culture. Plus, the wifi was pretty much useless, barely fast enough to load a simple webpage. With the marina closed, renting a boat for fishing wasn’t an option we could explore, and the absence of a fridge in the room means you'll need to pack your cooler for perishables. Do your grocery shopping before you arrive, as it’s a trek to the nearest town.
